Best comic so far.

toastyNOV 18 2011

nice belly button

ZapNOV 19 2011

52 minute shower? Really?

BelalNOV 19 2011

Sometimes I stay in the shower until the hot water runs out.

ZapNOV 19 2011

Haha, I've been there! I just hope your not depriving others of their own. Nothing worse than a cold shower! Good comic, good joke too! Good job all over!

AnonFEB 3 2012

I always stay in the shower until the hot water runs out...

Jen VAUG 26 2014

lol. Do shower activities for 3 minutes. Wow, the shower activities are such a miniscule part of your shower routine.

Master BatesNOV 19 2011

I only gets it to 46 min (9+21+13+3). What happened in the 6 min uncounted for?

Sarah Kicks ZapNOV 19 2011

It's actually 46 minutes.

BelalNOV 19 2011

Nice work Sarah. I'm guessing your a Mathematics Major?

GodNOV 19 2011

Don't teach kids to waste water.

LauraNOV 23 2011

Hey, it's no worse than leaving the kitchen faucet running constantly just because I don't want to have to turn the handle every time I want water. Take THAT, planet!

DudeNOV 19 2011

Our planet is mostly water. It'll probably survive.

kpNOV 20 2011

Yeah.. but we've polluted a vast majority of the water.. so it's very likely that we will run out. There are several documentaries on the issue.

H2O4UDEC 23 2011

KP, I would like to see the documentaries you are talking about and what year they were actually made. Since the '50's when these films you talk about were no doubt produced, the technology in the world has really progressed. The water you talk about is coming from fresh water sources, The Great Lakes, rivers, etc., etc. If you were to take a cruise in the last 20 or so years, the guests in many cases, depending on when the liner was built, were not drinking fresh water that was held in some huge container aboard ship.......they were drinking ocean water. This ocean water was made drinkable by a process call "Reverse Osmosis", or a more common process referred to as "Desalinization". Yes originally a very expensive task but today and in the future this process has become, just like many other things, more and more cost effective as technology advances. Now I'm not saying this gives us the right or ability to waste water, all I am saying is that things that need water to survive, due to science, we now have a much greater supply than once believed.

gernMAR 20 2012

Try FLOW. Only a year or so old. And if it doesn't make you respect the cheap access we have to clean water in US while simultaneously hating the giant corporations (like Nestle) who prefer to kill people for profits than help them, nothing will.

nonameNOV 21 2011

sure our planet is mostly water, but only a small percentage of that water is actually drinkable, and we use that drinkable water to shower with... so the longer showers we take the more water we waste.

YeamanNOV 22 2011

True, but water can be made drinkable. Drinkable water may run out, but more can be purified.

nonameNOV 22 2011

it's not as easy as it may sound... the availability of clean water is a serious global issue, the process of purifying water is highly energy intensive so perhaps instead of wasting and polluting water, maybe we can try to conserve it in the first place

karanNOV 23 2011

hey!! it's not so bad as it seems. Air pollution may be. Soon der will be a chemical which can clean dirt in salty water of oceans.

MaraNOV 19 2011

He read the "21" as 27" like I did.

Word CleaverNOV 21 2011

But not sing "13" as "73"?

PanaoriosNOV 21 2011

I think that is because 73 seems too farfetched.

TiffanyNOV 19 2011

This is such a great webcomic! Keep it up! I love these!

CJMNOV 19 2011

If you had replaced "singing" with "masturbating" and I would believe this comic to be true.

PeterNOV 19 2011

You forgot to fap....

Vic BrisenoNOV 19 2011

Just found the comic. It's pretty awesome! Keep up the good work!

JonyNOV 19 2011

Nice comic. And Dude, 99% of it is saltwater.

bloberisNOV 29 2011

Actually, 97% is saltwater.

tjNOV 19 2011

I like cheese

oldestgenxerNOV 20 2011

Ha-college was awesome, in the dorms--the hot water lasted FOREVER. You could ponder mysteries, masterbate, sing, and get wrinkly all over.

ConservationalistNOV 20 2011

You'd think that "water would survive" but that is a totally ignorant statement. Educate yourself. At least? A 10-minute shower at 2.5 gallons per minute is 25 gallons of water used per shower. This isn't counting ALL of the water you drink, use to cook, wash other things, brush your teeth, give to your pets. Don't waste water.

ConservationalistNOV 20 2011

Also, notice it only takes 3 minutes to get shit done in the shower.

RelaxdudeNOV 21 2011

It's a comic, relax

LauraNOV 23 2011

I'll just start drawing a comic of my neighbor's horse with your mom. You know, I might as well throw my neighbor in there too, and Michael Jackson - as he is NOW - because it's just a comic, so why not? Oh, and let's have Hitler going at her as well, because in my comic, your mom's totes hot for Hitler.

stevenNOV 28 2011

your a genius. I was looking for a creative web comic writer. your hired!

HmmmDEC 16 2011

I hope you're a vegetarian because generating meat takes a hell of a lot more water than a relaxing shower. Something about black kettles and name calling.

Actually,NOV 20 2011

It takes about 8 minutes to shower from head to toe. 3 minutes is enough to warm the water up and get your upper body covered with soap. Do you let your back stack dirt with that 3 minutes?

ComposerNOV 20 2011

comment win

GaryNOV 20 2011

This was me today. ....it's like you can see into my future! O>O

StupidKIDSNOV 20 2011

Read the "Blue Covenant" kids, the thought of a 52 minutes after that would make you feel like a pretty low human being.

ThUgNiFi¢EntNOV 20 2011

yo i dont take showas cuz my hair cant be in da water ya dig playboy. a real ass thug like me keeps it real kna mean?

aaangiemonNOV 20 2011

This is definitely exactly what I do in the shower. In fact, after reading this I posted it to my Tumblr and took a shower.

GRATEFULDEADSUCKS420hahahaNOV 21 2011

DanieloswaldNOV 21 2011

*jackoff 5minutes

BelalNOV 21 2011

You, sir, are not the master of your domain.

nikkiNOV 21 2011

ok guys. 1. its just a comic calm the frack down and enjoy it for the funny. 2. salt water can be purified. its a fact its something they teach you to survive if you happen to be stranded some where where there is only salt water to drink. so yeah 99 % of the earths water is salt water but we can still use it. im not saying that is a reason to waste im just saying get off your soap box. and no using a little of the oceans water wont kill the whales. :P

nonameNOV 22 2011

not to get nit picky, but the thing is... we shouldn't just rely on the fact that we know salt water can be desalinated, it takes a lot more energy and effort to make salt water drinkable vs. freshwater, it's kind of scary that people think it's okay to waste valuable natural resources because they think they can turn to an "easy" alternative source for something like clean water... i don't think i'm on any kind of soap box, i think people like me are just honestly concerned about the widespread belief that we can wastefully deplete an essential resource because there's an "easy alternative" to that resource... i dunno, this "take take take" attitude kinda scares me and i wish fewer people had it...

karanNOV 23 2011

People c save water things more often than this post.let them decide and enjoy the post.

LauraNOV 23 2011

And while I'm not necessarily frightened by the "lightn up ppl waters evrywere newayz so jus go and fal asleep n da showere lololol" posts, I am terrified that these people can/will/do vote. Sigh.

SarahDEC 14 2011

i agree. i mean, i go for long showers but i conserve water in other ways through the day. i cant stand the idea of wasting water for no reason (at least im using shower water for a reason) "salt water can be purified. its a fact its something they teach you to survive if you happen to be stranded some where where there is only salt water to drink" <- um, okay. so unless youre going to purify cuploads of water yourself, do you want to drink salt water thats just been scooped up and hastily "purified" in a way a child can do it? because if you want to drink water thats been properly purified and filtered, its not that easy.

DenNOV 23 2011

first pic killed my day :) may be shower should be cold? just a few seconds and all whese feelings... and words ;)

MIAAAAANOV 23 2011

Dats so spensive. But no joking, the technology is really expensive. There are these plants that turn salt water into drinkable water, but only the richest countries can even ponder using this type of solution.

mekNOV 25 2011

sorry i missed this comic, i was taking a looooooooooooooooooong shower

:PNOV 27 2011

Aw my shower only allows for 15min of hot water, and the worst is, I mix the 3min up with all the rest so I always end up finishing in cold water :( long showers ftw :D and if you're so worried about wasting water, there are ways to 'save' the water you showered in for recycling. For example, re-route the pipe outside that sends it into the drains (if of course that's the type of shower you have) and use the water to water your garden, or collect it in a tank for future use in the garden or one can try purify it for other uses like washing clothes etc. I might not be too clued up on water recycle methods, but I do know if you worry so much and need to rant about saving the water, then you have the time to put some research into finding ways to recycle the water. I know at home we use the rerooting the pipe to water the garden and we have some pretty green grass :D

SoylentGreenNOV 29 2011

I am lucky to live in an apartment building with a huge boiler so after an hour my shower is still just as hot....which is good since it takes me that long just to stroke my monster to satisfaction. :D

MikeNOV 30 2011

HAHA!! I forwarded this to my wife so she could see there are others who shower like me!!

danDEC 5 2011

looks like two coconuts are hanging on this face ....

MaggyDEC 6 2011

I must be old. First thing I thought was, "he must live in a residence hall because the water and gas/electric bills would be obnoxious!"

MaggyDEC 6 2011

Meaning, the bills must be high but his room charges do not fluctuate based on how long his showers take.

The random oneDEC 7 2011

Actually, with a charcoal filter it is quite a simple process. Also, contrary to what many believe, not as much of the worlds fresh water is polluted and in many cases were there is pollution it is filtered out through the regular processes used by water treatment facilities.

wearethesameDEC 8 2011

Its good to see that someone else is like me. Showers are a time for relaxation and are the only part of my day where I can get away from the world so if I need to spend a straight hour in the shower then I'm going to do so, water conservation be damned. I pay for it, I have a "low use" shower head and system that uses less water than average, and that water is there for me to enjoy. What I'm really surprised at is the fact that people are complaining about saving water and not about the energy it takes to heat up that water for an hour. :D. Were talking, hundreds of dead dinosaurs a day, burning up to just fuel my showers. Oh the luxuries of the first world. I also leave my lights on 24-7, drive a monster suv, and throw beer rings into rivers. Seriously, get over yourself people. Web comics aren't the place to be preaching. I'm sure that you can fins far more atrocious things to gripe about on the internet.

CoreyDEC 9 2011

this LITERALLY made me really want to take a shower right now.. haha

TomADEC 10 2011

I do the same thing EXCEPT the last 3 min are very hurried because I ran out of hot water and I'm trying to get my butt out!

guy who has no privacyDEC 11 2011

I take two of those a day, everyday.

Tony McGurkDEC 13 2011

46 minutes??? That's a lot of hot water to pay for.

MaraDEC 25 2011

Good for you, but not a good use of earth resources..

David BattersonJAN 12 2012

Epic! Run out of hot water - Get pissed - Get out - Dry Off! Finish My Useless Day!

maniFEB 4 2012

This is definitely exactly what I do in the shower. But I do some other things to...:)

JonFEB 8 2012

I feel like this cartoon was written for me.

UhfgoodFEB 12 2012

This is actually exactly what I do. But insidiously the landlord changed the hot water so now it no longer lasts as long. I usually have about a minute to shower.

BelalFEB 12 2012

That sounds like prison.

UhfgoodFEB 13 2012

I didn't realize I wrote it like that, I meant 1 minute for shower related activities ;-) (like your last panel in that)

BelalFEB 13 2012

Haha. In that case, I'm in the same boat. I only start shower related stuff when the water starts getting cold.

AliFEB 21 2012

you forgot furiously masturbate for 1 to 2 minutes

rea_slyMAR 1 2012

No wonder guys take so long in the shower. My male roommate takes hour long showers, and mine are only 15 minutes.

VedetteAPR 5 2012

You forgot to put in masterbation.

Cannisseur119APR 12 2012

LOL, Hilarious. Every one of you mall employees has some opinion about water usage. NOTE: No one is taking water in large portions and dumping it into space or on the moon, so stating that we are "wasting" water as if the oxygen and hydrogen molecules that make up H2O are disappearing. water that goes down the drain goes right back into the water supply... there is no "waste" if it sits in a pool, if it waters a dandelion, if i decide to pour water out my car window as i drive... it evaporates and goes right back into the cycle...

BesturllistingAPR 12 2012

Lol best comic lo

Skelton SherborneAPR 17 2012

This is really funny. But almost an hour of shower? I can only do that during the weekends and I wanted to relax.

Haha true story :) Everyone is like this :)

Hugh CairsSEP 8 2012

Wow. Someone spent time (2-3 minutes) thinking this up? Then a fair number of sophomorons spent even more time commenting. Nice to see that high school students today have so much free time.

billbobagginsOCT 18 2012

It's just a comic about a shower. A funny one. Everybody in America has enjoyed a nice long shower at some point in their lives. Comics are exaggerations. This is depicting the small percentage of time that is actually being used to clean oneself during the total shower. The amount of time is really irrelevant, and so is bickering about water usage here. There are other sites for that.

billbobagginsOCT 19 2012

I just watched FLOW. I will never masturbate in the shower again :( Seriously, it's a great documentary. I currently have watershed problems in the NJ town I live in as we speak. Water problems will affect us all much sooner than we think.
